Orbiwise has announced a significant upgrade of orbiWAN, its carrier-grade platform for IoT networks. The new edition retains some of its previous features and offers more.
Fremont, CA: Orbiwise, active since 2014, is a Geneva, Switzerland based firm which focuses on empowering specialized technologies for IoT providers with an aim to enhance their performance. The firm recently announced OrbiWAN 6.0, an upgrade to their carrier-grade IoT platform OrbiWAN that manages the LoRaWAN networks.
LoraWAN refers to low-power and wide-area radio communication technology which supports long-range connectivity among devices consuming low power and gateways.
Through these networks, deployment of cost-effective IoT deployments is made possible for both public and private networks.
OrbiWAN 6.0 is the result of a combined effort of wireless and cloud experts at OrbiWise in order to enable customers to manage their LoraWAN IoT networks better.
Many OrbiWise customers have already changed to the latest version to boost their IoT networks and are content with its performance. In view of these developments, OrbiWise remains hopeful about expanding their customer base for OrbiWAN 6.0.
OrbiWAN 6.0 enables unequaled configurability and control to the earlier version so as to empower network operators to maximize the functionality of each deployment.
The OrbiWAN 6.0 comprises of innovative profile-based architecture. It provides high scalability in usage and is the main factor behind empowering the former to cater to all markets from small businesses to large scale operators.
Another critical aspect of the upgrade is the improved system response times. To accelerate the speed, an ‘instant message’ function has been incorporated which permits responses from ‘device to the application to device’ in similar class A downlink/uplink cycle. The upgrade version has been subjected to high-end testing and results have been desirable so far.
