OSLO, Norway : Zivid, the 3D machine vision camera company, has appointed Thomas Embla Bonnerud as CEO with immediate effect. He succeeds co-founder Henrik Schumann-Olsen in the role, who moves on to take up CTO and CMO positions at the company.
“It’s a privilege to join Zivid at such an exciting time in its development,” said Thomas Embla Bonnerud. “Human-like 3D robot vision is a vital enabler for the smart factories and warehouses of the future, and Zivid’s innovations in cameras and software will help deliver the automation that’s needed.”
Thomas Embla Bonnerud arrives at Zivid from Nordic Semiconductor where he served for more than 17 years, most recently as Director of Strategy and Investor Relations, including the company’s overall product and market strategy. He holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
